Hajj luggage and some useful tips for 2024
Hajj flight is starting from 9 May 2024. Many pilgrims are interested to know how the baggage management should be. Hajj tour is more or less 40 days. So the minimum baggage will be two. One big luggage which is given in the booking on the plane, the other in the handbag. 7 kg hand luggage can be carried on the plane. Under Road to Makkah, the luggage is delivered directly from Dhaka Airport to the residence in Makkah or Madinah. Some luggage bags get lost due to various reasons. However, baggage can be returned before returning to the country. As a result, the Hajj pilgrims had difficulties for those few days.
Here are some tips on how to deal with the situation if the pilgrims arrive in Saudi Arabia in a pinch.
Hajj travel essentials should be divided into two pieces of luggage (large luggage and hand bag).
Let’s say for a 50 day trip, take 10 sets of clothes. From this you can take 4 sets of clothes in hand bag. The remaining 6 sets will be in large luggage.
Divide the 50 days of medicines into two parts. 20 days of medicine will be in the hand bag and the remaining 30 days of medicine will be taken in the large luggage.
Hands, feet, skin cracked due to dryness in Makkah Madinah. Vaseline or foot socks can be used. Vaseline is available to buy in Saudi Arabia at nearby stores.
You can take paste, brush, mobile charger, a set of Ihram cloth in hand bag.
The temperature in Saudi Arabia ranges from 40 to 50 degrees Celsius. Along with that, the humidity of water vapor in the air is low and many inconveniences are seen by the pilgrims. Be careful about this.
Small umbrellas can be used to protect from the sun during the day.
Don’t put strangers’ belongings in your bag.
Take visa copy, passport, money, air ticket, Hajj book, other papers in hand bag.
Every Hajj pilgrim can bring 23 kg to 46 kg of goods in 2 pieces of luggage and 7 kg of hand baggage in the cabin.
Every Haji will get 5 liters of Zamzam water.
Any sharp objects such as knives, scissors, nail cutters, toothpicks made of metal, amulets and gaseous objects such as aerosols and liquids exceeding 100 (ml) cannot be carried in hand baggage.
Don’t carry anything sharp like knives, scissors in your hand bag.
No food items can be taken along.
Luggage should be suitcase or trolley bag (65 x 45 x 25 cm). Baggage of different shapes like spherical, rope bags etc. will not be accepted under any circumstances.
Saudi Arabia airport immigration process will be completed from Dhaka.
হজের লাগেজ এবং কিছু প্রয়োজনীয় টিপস।
৯ মে ২০২৪ থেকে শুরু হচ্ছে হজ ফ্লাইট । হজযাত্রীদের অনেকের জানার আগ্রহ, লাগেজ ব্যবস্থাপনাটা কেমন হওয়া উচিত। হজের সফর হয় কম বেশি ৪০ দিন । তাই ন্যূনতম লাগেজ হবে দুইটা। একটি বড় লাগেজ যা বিমানে বুকিংএ দেওয়া হয়, অন্যটি হাতব্যাগে। বিমানে হাতে ৭ কেজি ব্যাগ বহন করা যায়। রোড টু মক্কার অধীনে লাগেজগুলো ঢাকা বিমানবন্দর থেকে সরাসরি মক্কা বা মদিনার বাসায় পৌঁছে যায়। নানাবিধ কারণে কারও কারও লাগেজ ব্যাগ হারিয়ে যায়। যদিও দেশে ফেরার আগে লাগেজ ফেরত পাওয়া যায়। ফলে ওই কয়দিন হজযাত্রীর অসুবিধা হয়।
হজযাত্রী সৌদি আরবে পৌঁছে বিড়ম্বনায় পরলেও যাতে পরিস্থিতি মোকাবিলা করা যায় সে ক্ষেত্রে কিছু পরামর্শ দেওয়া হলো।
হজের সফরে প্রয়োজনীয় জিনিসগুলোকে দুই লাগেজে (বড় লাগেজ ও হাত ব্যাগে) ভাগ করে নিতে হবে।
৫০ দিনের সফরে ধরা যাক, ১০ সেট কাপড় নেবেন। এর থেকে ৪ সেট কাপড় হাত ব্যাগে নিতে পারেন। বাকি ৬ সেট বড় লাগেজে থাকবে।
৫০ দিনের ওষুধগুলো দুটি ভাগে ভাগ করুন। ২০ দিনের ওষুধ থাকবে হাত ব্যাগে বাকি ৩০ দিনের ওষুধ বড় লাগেজে নেবেন।
মক্কা মদিনায় শুষ্কতার কারণে হাত, পা, ত্বক ফেটে যায়। ভেসলিন বা পা মোজা ব্যবহার করতে পারেন। ভেসলিন সৌদি আরবে কাছের দোকানে কিনতে পাওয়া যায়।
পেস্ট , ব্রাশ, মোবাইল চার্জার, একসেট ইহরাম কাপড় হাত ব্যাগে নিতে পারেন।
সৌদি আরবের তাপমাত্রা ৪০ থেকে ৫০ ডিগ্রি সেলসিয়াস পর্যন্ত হয়ে থাকে । সেই সঙ্গে বাতাসে জলীয় বাষ্পের আর্দ্রতা ও কম থাকে হজযাত্রীদের বেশ কিছু অসুবিধে দেখা যায়। এ বিষয়ে সতর্কতা থাকতে হবে।
দিনের বেলা রোদ থেকে বাঁচতে ছোট ছাতা ব্যবহার করতে পারেন।
অপরিচিত কারও মালামাল নিজের ব্যাগে রাখবেন না।
ভিসার কপি, পাসপোর্ট, টাকা পয়সা, বিমান টিকেট, হজের বই, অন্য কাগজ হাত ব্যাগে নেবেন।
দেশে ফেরার সময় প্রত্যেক হজযাত্রী ২টি লাগেজে ২৩ কেজি করে ৪৬ কেজি মালামাল এবং কেবিন ব্যাগেজে হাতে ৭ কেজি বিমানে আনতে পারবেন।
প্রত্যেক হাজি ৫ লিটার জমজমের পানি পাবেন।
যেকোনো ধারালো বস্তু যেমন ছুরি, কাঁচি, নেইল কাটার, ধাতব নির্মিত দাঁত খিলন, তাবিজ ও গ্যাস জাতীয় বস্তু যেমন অ্যারোসল এবং ১০০ (এম এল)-এর বেশি তরল পদার্থ হাত ব্যাগেজে বহন করা যাবে না।
ছুরি, কাঁচি ধারালো কিছু হাত ব্যাগে নেবেন না।
কোনো প্রকার খাদ্যসামগ্রী সঙ্গে নেওয়া যাবে না।
লাগেজ স্যুটকেস অথবা ট্রলিব্যাগ (৬৫ x ৪৫ x ২৫ সেমি ) হতে হবে। কোনো অবস্থায় গোলাকৃতি, দড়িবাঁধা ব্যাগ ইত্যাদি বিভিন্ন আকৃতির ব্যাগেজ গ্রহণযোগ্য হবে না।
সৌদি আরব বিমানবন্দরের ইমিগ্রেশন কার্যক্রম ঢাকা থেকেই সম্পন্ন করা হবে।
